Year 4 Visit to St. Albans Cathedral
As part of this term’s topic on the Romans, Year 4 visited St Albans Cathedral on Friday 8th October
The children had a tour of the cathedral and learnt all about Alban – Britain’s first saint who lived in the third century in the Roman city of Verulamium. They each played a part in the re-enactment of his remarkable story.
They then had the opportunity to see some Roman armour and weapons before finishing their day in the cathedral classroom - designing and creating their own mosaics.
Year 4 all agreed that it was a fantastic visit – they loved acting out the story of St Alban and had great fun creating their own mosaic masterpieces.
