Year 2 Story Café
Year 2 teachers enjoyed the opportunity to host a Story Café for children and their parents. They read 'Whatever Next' by Jill Murphy. After listening to the story, the children then took part in some fun activities. They enjoyed games and activities all based around the book, such as role play, punctuation hunting, story sequencing, rocket building and letter writing. It was such a pleasure to welcome back all the parents to St George's School for the first time after the pandemic.
We asked the children what they liked about the Story Café and this was what some of them said;
"I loved the role play activity"
"My favourite part of the story was when the bear blasted off into the moon."
"I enjoyed the colouring, the biscuits and the juice."
"My favourite activity was writing a letter to mummy bear."
"My favourite part was the punctuation hunt."
"I enjoyed the playdough activity."
