Year 5 visit to Hertfordshire Young Mariners Base,Cheshunt
Our trip to Cheshunt was really fun, we all enjoyed ourselves. We spent two days taking part in many great activities. We did caving with Steve who was one of our favourite instructors. Some people found the caves a bit scary at first but when they got over their fear, really liked it. We also did rock climbing and adventure games.
At the Young Mariners Base, there is a big lake where we did bell boating, canoeing and sailing. We all got very wet during bell boating, as the instructor made us play games and we had to walk up and down the boats.
After all the fun of the first day, we had a quiz in the evening with many different general knowledge questions. Then we had to go to our rooms where we all stayed up chatting. The food was nice and at breakfast we all filled our breakfast plates to the very top.
The trip to Cheshunt was lots of fun and I think we would all do it again; it was our favourite trip so far in our time at the school.
