Mission Statement

Every Catholic school has a mission statement that encapsulates its distinctive job or core purpose. A mission is a special goal or purpose, one that is accompanied by a strong conviction or calling.  At St George’s, a special working party formed of teachers, support staff, governors, parents, clergy and children created the mission statement and it is now displayed throughout the school. It was important that the Mission Statement was meaningful and relevant.

The mission statement puts faith at the heart of all we do at school and incorporates our school motto. It speaks of tolerance and respect that we understand as important Gospel values. Central to a successful education is the relationship between school, home and parish and our mission statement highlights this, as well as building on the success of our Love in Action programme, ensuring a commitment to its positive legacy.
